How to register your 406Mhz beacon

You must register your 406 MHz beacon with the Rescue Coordination Centre New Zealand (RCCNZ). You must also inform RCCNZ if you change any information on your registration (such as phone number, address, or change of your vessel/aircraft). Also, if you sell your 406 MHz beacon, you must advise RCCNZ and ensure the purchaser knows to re-register the beacon. This service is free.

If you are not sure if your beacon is registered, or whether your information is correct, call the Rescue Coordination Centre NZ on (04) 577 8030 and ask a search and rescue officer to check.
